What brand of laundry detergent specifically for front load washing machines are available locally?
Q. I saw online that for front load washing machines, there is an specific laundry detergent to be used. HE (highly efficient) types. I am trying to check local sites for the brand but i cant find one. I know that HE is not a brand. What I meant was I am looking for a brand that are HE. Thanks to those who replied earlier but what I meant locally is that those available in my country - Philippines.

A. It's hard to say. They usually have a HE on the front label. All HE means is that it doesn't suds so much which could be solved by just using less detergent (they recommend too much anyway) . What you could do is go to your local supermarket, write down the brands and their manufacturers of the detergents that you like the quality of and look up their website to see if they have any HE versions of their detergent.

What is the widest load allowed on the highway?
Q. I'm thinking of purchasing a boat that's 8' 6" wide. I have to go to another state to pick it up & tow it home. What is the widest load that is allowed on highways, and does this differ from state to state?

A. California is 9'-6' without a pilot car...10' with a pilot car...My boat is 8'-6" wide and I tow it all over the place

What is the easiest method of doing an electrical load calculation for our home?
Q. We previously asked about upgrading our electrical service from 200 amps to 300 or 400 amps. Several of the people who responded suggested that we have a load calculation done for our house. We would like to know if there is a method where we could do the calculation ourselves. We realize that an electrician would be better at doing this. But depending on their findings, they would be the ones installing the upgraded service. We could supply a list of electrical items to anyone who could help us.

A. Why do you think you need a 400 amp service? I am a master electrician months are spent during electrical school learning load calculations. you do not simply add up the load of the things you use in your home. a percentage is give to different items do to the fact not everything is running at once. the square footage of living space in the home is the biggest factor in a load cacualtuon load calculation formulas are in the national electrical code I have been wiring homes for 15 years Only 2 homes i have been involved with have needed more than 200 amp service.
